The Etyopyawinet Carnival is the outgrowth of our annual effort to get as many Etyopyawi together in the spirit of celebration and community service.   Who does this Carnival benefit?   We believe this carnival helps our Etyopyawi community here in the DC metro area stay connected and inspired, while simultaneously raising funds to build healthier, safer communities back home in rural Ethiopia.   When and where is the Carnival?   Date:     Saturday, September 16th Place:    Bluemont Park, 601 N. Manchester St, Arlington, VA Time:    1:00 pm – Sunset   What will go on at the Carnival?   o        Kids Soccer Tournament Kids join a team of friends or cheer them on as they go for the GOOOAALL!!! o        Adult Volleyball Tournament Big kids join a team of friends or cheer them on to victory!!! o        5k Walk Enjoy a walk in the park and raise funds for a good cause. o        Live DJ The best excuse to picnic with the whole family on a nice summer afternoon… o        ”A Taste of Ethiopia” Featuring food from the finest local Ethiopian restaurants … o        Helping build a stronger Ethiopia… one community at a time! Come enjoy how good it is to be part of such a true family.
